Bob Hope USO at LAX
The Bob Hope USO at LAX is our flagship center and representative of the services provided at all our of centers. It is named in honor of legendary entertainer and USO Ambassador of Goodwill, Bob Hope. For six decades, he brought the USO’s famous “touch of home” and a string of smiles to millions of GI’s often during their most difficult hours. Bob Hope will be remembered from generation to generation for the wonderful memories he and his Hollywood “band of gypsies” gave to U.S. troops through the years.
Our complimentary sandwiches, snacks and beverages may seem like small comforts, but to our grateful military personnel and their families, visiting the USO means they need not wait in the often impersonal airport terminals frequently for many hours. It also means they have available for their exclusive use an array of facilities and services that include recreation areas, secure luggage storage, a theater with big screen TV and a library of literally hundreds of current and classic films on DVD and video, a fully-stocked free lending library, a “Family Room” where children can relax and play games, or simply a place to take a nap.
There are separate shower facilities for men and women, and a “quiet room” where the exhausted troops are able to rest undisturbed for a few hours. Complimentary phone calls throughout the country on our “I-Freedom” telephone system allow our troops an opportunity to phone home during their visit. Tables and shade umbrellas are situated on the adjacent outside patio for troops to enjoy the Southern California weather. All services at the Bob Hope USO at LAX are provided to our valiant American warriors and their families without charge thanks to 100% funding from private sources. We are looking forward to our new Center opening in Spring of 2018 that will double our size and capacity to serve our troops and their families. If you’d like to contribute or learn more about our LAX Capital Campaign, please contact Charissa Gonzales at email@example.com or call 562.999.7734.

Other Bob Hope USO Locations
Hours: Open 24/7, 365 days a year.*
*In order to maintain adequate space and overnight services for current members of the military and their dependent family members, we are unable to accommodate military retirees and/or their dependents between the hours of 2200 and 0400, but would be happy to provide information about local hotels. Please note that the mission of the USO is to serve current members of the military and their dependent family members. We are not a veterans or military retiree service organization, and never have been. We are a private non-profit that raises 100% of our funding from private sources to fulfill our mission which has remained the same since 1941. We hope our veterans understand that just like the USO was there for them during their active service, we remain at the service of current military members and their families today.
